I'm extremely phobic about driving places, but I'll have to see if I can make it to Red Bank regularly. I've been pretty much arcadeless since Funmania closed three years ago.

Hi all, I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be opening a retro arcade in Red Bank, NJ hopefully by the end of September. The name of the arcade is YesterCades and will feature 60 arcade games, approximately 12 pins, a couple flat screens for current gaming systems, and a pool table.

 

All games are set on freeplay and customers will be charged on an hourly rate basis.

 

I know there are many of you out there that are longing for that classic arcade setting (like I am), so I thought it would be good to spread the good news.

I will definitely keep everyone posted about the opening. I hope to be open in the next couple weeks. I really hope YesterCades brings back fond memories of that Golden Age gone-by. So far, I know it has for me! Looking forward to sharing it with everyone soon!!!

How's yer 'cade going? I live in CA so I'll probably never get out there but I support your efforts. Wish we had a real arcade out here. We have 'Jimmy's' which used to be OK but now it's full of thugs and, well ... more thugs playing House of the Dead. Anyway, good luck and I hope things go well.
