Cleaning out vintage computer storage

Recommended Posts

Posted this in Classic Computing… seems he has some Atari goodies as well, so if you can haul 4 storage sheds of vintage 1980s compys, looks like they're yours gratis.

Came across this while looking for stuff on Craigslist. Figured I'd pass along the information to any interested parties. Apparently he has some Atari home computers as well. Would love to know what you find!

If anyone wants to collaborate (i.e., put up the cas for the U-Haul and storage unit for a few months), I'd be willing to help make it all come together. Would hate to see invaluable, classic, FREE hardware go to waste (or to someone less deserving than the AA community). :ponder:

Yeah, someone grab it before it ends up on Storage Wars and that wanker Dave gets it.

Or Barry... and he grabs a felt hat from the back of the locker and chucks the rest out.

I talked to the guy. He says he'll hold it all for me, and on Monday I'll have someone take a box truck and pick it all up. I have enough storage to house the Titanic in pieces, and I will have some guys go with bags of old towels and go pick everything up.

!!!:D!!!

Great! I'm glad someone here got it.

This. If I can't have it, I'm glad another AA got it.

Wow, that's cool. You have to at least take an overall picture of the haul (and post it) ;) .

Awesome! Glad someone jumped on this. Looking forward to seeing some of the stock, and let me know if I can help!

Dang, dang, and dang again.

Why does this have to happen when I'm unemployed?

You know this won't happen again once I get another job.

Hmmm. If you want me to stay unemployed, send cash to...

;)

I would love to get An Atari computer . . . if there is one available let me know, I can help contribute to the cost of storage if I can get my name on one of the Atari computers.

I re-arranged the time for pickup - I will personally supervise the heist tomorrow @ high noon.

Pictures or it didn't happen! :D

Box truck is empty, mechanic is coming in to check out the vehicle. Should be ready to rock with 20 old comforters and lots of towels @ 8:00am. It's still a 3 hour drive...

Ditto. If you see any Atari/OSS cartridges, I can provide a good home too.
