If you have Your Atari Computer, The Atari Assembler, De Re Atari, Mapping the Atari and the Assembler Editor book. You can do about anything, except games with lots of graphics. Opps, Assembler Editor book isn't here, it is especially useful for the OP codes table. Inman and Inman 'The Atari Assembler' is especially useful for the Instruction Set with addressing modes table. De Re Atari is great for IOCB programming (in-out of a BASIC OPENed file). Your Atari Computer is a great beginner's book and has ATASCII table and ERROR code list that I don't know where else to get, and an alphabetic list of BASIC reserve words, more than just a list, each has an explanation and an example. Mapping the Atari has most PEEK and POKE (LDA and STA) locations. Edited September 3, 2011 by russg

And this is the pictures of the book covers:
Sub(Function(:)) #6 Posted September 3, 2011 The torrent I downloaded from piratebay, if I recall, has 97 files, 96 books and a xls. Here's the directory: Volume in drive D is Atari Books Volume Serial Number is 55B9-08A8 Directory of D:\Atari 8-bit Books 11/28/2010 04:22 PM <DIR> . 11/28/2010 07:28 PM <DIR> .. 07/15/2010 10:46 PM 50,688 - Books.xls 07/16/2010 05:10 AM 23,070,754 101 Atari Computer Programming Tips & Tricks.pdf 07/16/2010 03:30 AM 92,160,729 ABCs of Atari Computers.pdf <SNIP> </SNIP> Thanks. It looks like I was missing "Atari for the Beginning Beginner.pdf". I have no idea why, but I got a copy from the Atarimania, So I am now up to 96 books. I now need to know why the torrent client didn't see the missing file PS. If you want the "Atari assembler editor manual" please let me know I have it, although I think Mac/65 is a lot better
Sub(Function(:)) #7 Posted September 3, 2011 (edited) like it say's on the tin, are there any differences (i.e different books) between the books on atari mania's site and thumpnuggets atari books torrent (sorry, don't have the link but he did a thread here about the books) or are they the same books Only ask as both have 96 books within the download Yes they are the same Although it looks like Atari Mania has cleaned up the titles a bit, that is so they now match the books Edited September 3, 2011 by Sub(Function(:))

lbaeza #14 Posted September 5, 2011 Hi A little OT: One book I thought was included on Thumpnugget's excellent scans is Computer Animation Primer by David Fox and Mitchell Waite, published in 1984. It's already available as HTML on AtariArchives.org. The fact is that it is *NOT* part of Thumpnugget's scans. Do you guys have a PDF copy of the scanned book? I searched over the internet to no avail... Thank you!
Sub(Function(:)) #15 Posted September 5, 2011 I thourght the english were good at Double entendres? I think the "130 entry list" was the two lists together, on one xls It could be this file attached but this is just the xls that came on the 96 book download. you see the second part of the list are repeats of the first posting. - Books.xls
