Indeed :) They speak really original French not as us here in France. :(

Actually I meant the opposite to be honest. I can make out very well on my French in France but when I go to Quebec, forget it, I understand nothing they are saying.

Because my learning is from a text book, not conversation.

I can't believe that this Colecovision Experience magazine went with no bids. It started at $10.95! I remember when these were hard to find, and this issue would have went for $20-$25 easily, and the later issues went for even more.

I see other auctions with 1980's EGM magazines that aren't going anywhere either. I wonder if the bottom has fallen out of this part of the market?

Due to high quality scans in PDF format available to download freely... in most cases.

That is the most common issue so its price always is less anyway. Still I agree it used to sell well. I recently picked up the next few issues for a decent price but maybe it's just that the prices on these in general are coming down. I'm ok with that. There are still some holes in my 80s gaming magazine collections I need to fill. Just picked up a few needed copies of Videogaming Illustrated on eBay. It seemed that there were on 1 or 2 other bidders on each although one bidder that had bids on a ton of them was one I recognized that bids on a ton of classic gaming items.

Yeah, I paid a lot more for my set...

Gotta love it... "lost interest from waiting 8 months for it", (so selling it for over 3x what I paid for it)... yeah ok...

I saw that too. I laughed at it as well. If this were true starting bid would be purchase price and go from there. Nothing but pure profiteering here.

I would love to add an Opcode Colecovision SGM to my collection, but they're not worth $300 after they're sold out, right? Here's someone on eBay selling one for that much:

Edited to fix eBay url.

Didn't sell so they relisted at only .... $300. Sigh. Seems like so many of these get bought up just to try to resell.

Why not for me? Because the free domestic shipping becomes almost $40 to Canada. What is he going to deliver them personally or something? BS.

This always does my head in - why do so many US sellers fail to offer reasonable shipping charges to Canada (a rhetorical question). Reasonable options do exist but they either choose to avoid them or simply don't care.

That said, and a little off-topic, I was delighted the other day when I had to order a few small, light, parts for my carpet shampooer and the shipping offered was USPS First Class at only $5. So many US spare parts warehouses have simply ludicrous shipping options to Canada. I was expecting the shipping to be the usual courier $40+, so was pleasantly surprised in this instance. On one occasion the shipping was $95 for a small $5 part !!!!!
