It is, i knew it would go for alot. Its a legendary missing game.

And your fighting the crazy heman collectors too who will probably just throw it up on the shelf next to beastman.....to have it again be lost to us.

Who got in on the ebay estate auction?  Bidding went crazy at the end.  I managed to get the one lot of DDP s and the disks.   Someone else wanted the other stuff more than my wallet did

Yeah, not at that price, at $5K more than a water-damaged DK NIB from pixelperfect80s. :)

For those of us that have been lucky enough to acquire former Coleco employee collections, this cart is VERY common. The only thing that might be of value is not shown... the Cartridge PCB. If it is a Coleco socketed cartridge PCB, they are very nice/handy to have.

Without showing a picture of the cartridge PCB, which can be done easily by removing the two screws that join the two halves of the cartridge shell, it's not worth much unless someone would like to have a physical cartridge of Video Hustler. There's even a nice cartridge label and box that was made years ago by Retroillucid.

The last picture in the auction shows the PCB.  Two of the three ROM slots are socketed, the third is empty.  Nice PCB but not worth more than $25,000 in my humble opinion 😁

Whoops. My bad, I missed the last pic.

As the old saying goes, it’s worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Unfortunately for the seller, the two versions (Coleco and Konami) have been available since the 80s and I’ve personally seen more of these employee created Video Hustler carts than any other unreleased / in-house carts.

Agreed. This matches with my general observations, as well.

Take a really good look at this item.

No tape drives?  Strange pricing as well - what's with the 27 cents part???  Also, it's the expansion module #3 so doesn't include the CV board inside.  Am I missing anything else?

So the keyboard, cables and controllers in the background aren't included?  Seems pricey for just the shell without proof it works and now you have to source the digital data drive too.

I needed a copy of Zaxxon on DDP.  I eneded up bidding on a lot on ebay that had a single copy of Zaxxon and 19 copies of Buck Rogers.   plus a bonus cart of Zaxxon

I needed the zaxxon manual from that lot. Any chance you would sell it? :)
