Atari2008
I don't think I want something more bulky than the Colecovision. What's a good price for a loose, complete Colecovision? Perfect I can get it modded by a fellow AA member Awesome.
Bill Loguidice
Thank you for your suggestions! At first the DINA sounded like a great idea - Dpad controllers, smaller size - but given the issues you and others have highlighted plus the price tag, it makes little sense. I'll look into an ADAM or AV modded Colecovision - I've seen a few AV modded Colecovisions on eBay, is that the only place to get them? What are the pros of getting the ADAM instead? I love the Adam, but wouldn't recommend one unless you're willing to put a lot of effort into it, plus it has lots of potential pitfalls you'd need to avoid, besides the simple fact that there's very little direct support for it from the homebrew community--it's basically just targeted to the console. If you just want to play games, the easiest path is one of those modded ColecoVisions, since every game will work on it, obviously. There are a few guys here on AtariAge who do the mods. I think they're often the same ones who post on eBay. Just do a search.
5200Fanatic
My recommendation is to avoid the Telegames/Dina console. It's a curiosity and nothing more. While it does work with many ColecoVision and SG-1000 games, it can be glitchy and it only outputs RF, and on a weird channel at that due to its overseas origination. Investing in an Adam with a separate power supply or AV modded ColecoVision, as well as an SG-1000/SC-3000, separately, makes much more sense, and you don't have the same control restrictions. Jeeze throw some cold water on my auction why doncha! LOL! I have a modded ColecoVision myself, but if you're a ColecoVision collector, this is a nice to have "curiosity" for the collection IMHO. RelliK111
Here is a video game collection that sold for $1.2 million Unfortunately I didn't win I bailed out around million mark   I know this doesn't have anything to do with the colecovision, but as a gamer I thought I would share this in case someone hasn't seen it. There is some amazing pictures eBay Auction -- Item Number: 300736846867

I think a real CV would be a better fit for me.

NIAD
Here is a one of a kind auction on eBay... eBay Auction -- Item Number: 150856178156 Well, it's actually mine and I assembled this ADAM Software package to show off the incredible ADAM Disk Labels and Disk Sleeves that were produced by PBoland and made available a couple months ago. The one drawback is that I needed to set a Reserve Price in order to protect my investment... labels, sleeves and disk costs as well as lots of time play testing all the games (even though that ended up being fun). Happy Bidding!

NIAD
This might be interested for some of you, it's a Bit 90 Home Computer, an Adam-clone of some sort: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 200789491183 Saw that auction earlier today thru eBay Global and indeed it did peek my interests until I got down to the English description where it states that the computer freezes up after a short time of use. I don't think I would call it an "ADAM-clone of sort" although it's specs are probably similar... I would have to do some further research. I think it's easier to just state that it's ColecoVision compatible, but to what extent again I would have to research to see if it has the same issues as the Dina 2-in-1/Personal Arcade as far as games that require one of the special controllers or keypad entry. Time to checkout some of the "old-computer" websites. BTW, did you look at the other items the seller has up for auction like I did in the hopes that he had some of the Bit 90 games like Strike It and Meteoric Shower. NIAD
WOW! A Sammy Lightfoot CIB/Sealed just went for $541 !!! That's a lot of dinero for a CV game, but I guess justified due to how hard this game is to find CIB and then add in the fact that it's factory sealed. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 290739203729

I remember his past eBay listing as well and I'm pretty sure it was a $500 BIN that no one ended up buying so I guess it just goes to show that the auction system does indeed work seeing as he got another $41 by letting the bidders set the price. This same seller also had up for auction that Jeepers Creepers prototype cart with the green goo style label. I don't recall if his past listing sold, but this current one went for something like $150.

That's a lot of dinero for a CV game, but I guess justified due to how hard this game is to find CIB and then add in the fact that it's factory sealed. I don't collect sealed games, but I am wincing at the memory of passing up a CIB Sammy for $180 several years ago. That and a Slurpy w/ box but missing instructions for like $40. Sigh. I think I started collecting CV about a year too late, but I was still concentrating on Atari at that point. Anyhow, here's a few more notable auctions: 1) Chuys had a lot - 1)Steamroller CIB, 2)Buck Rogers CIB, 3)Space Fury CIB, 4)BC's Quest For Tires CIB factory sealed, 5)Burgertime CIB, 6)Star Trek box, cart & 1 overlay........missing the manual & 1 overlay - go for $210.50 ... eBay Auction -- Item Number: 160839575164 2) A loose Tank Wars for $222.50 ... eBay Auction -- Item Number: 221061520561 3) Another lot - Buck Rogers and the Planet of Zoom, Space Fury, Victory, and Illusions, all CIB, Illusions is NIB, plus the box & overlay for Star Trek - for $177.50 ... eBay Auction -- Item Number: 190696603697 4) loose Motocross Racer (Xonox) for $11.50 ... eBay Auction -- Item Number: 251098352640

Zwackery
I too passed on a CIB Sammy at that price in the last year or two and I'm super happy with myself. ugh. I have the cart loose and paid something like $19 for it several years ago. I've got a few loose CV carts, but I prefer boxed whenever possible. If I saw a boxed version of Sammy Lightfoot for $180 now I'd snap it up. Oh well.
NIAD
3) Another lot - Buck Rogers and the Planet of Zoom, Space Fury, Victory, and Illusions, all CIB, Illusions is NIB, plus the box & overlay for Star Trek - for $177.50 ... eBay Auction -- Item Number: 190696603697 This was actually a steal considering that the Victory CIB included the SUPER RARE "Coleco Vision Presents" label variation. This label variation in CIB form is probably just as rare, hard to find and comes up probably less often than a Sammy Lightfoot CIB. I knew I should have bid higher, just didn't want to deal with having to flip the other games. Nice score chuys450!

Totally right, Jim That Victory "For ColecoVision Presents" is a so damn hard to find label variant that made it THE rarest CV label variant out there!
