Shameless Plug!

My auction ;) :D

http://rover.ebay.co...=item4d0b241a19

Will be happy to work something out with members here ;)

So an AtariAge discount will be in order and you'll save $$$ by avoiding eBay fees? I'll offer $250 then! :P

Seriously, this is an incredible collection of CIBs that should seriously be considered seeing how much time and effort will be saved instead of tracking these CIBs down individually. If anyone is interested, this is the way to jumpstart a CIB collection.

BTW Retroillucid, are these all the U.S. releases or are there French-Canadian releases mixed in? I've caught the French-Canadian CIB bug.

That bug must be going around because I caught the same thing  but I like the unused French/Canadian labels the most :-D

JF what are the 3 or 4 releases I can't tell from the side view. :lust: Are the labels used or unused? |:)

What a nice collection! I suppose them are duplicates of your main collection ;) I would bid for it, but I'm only in loose cartridges.

Recently I got this one http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2FQ-Berts-Qubes-Colecovision-CARTRIDGE-MANUAL-%2F330746398600

with help of a couple of friends

I'm with you Rellik111, I like the replacement labels to be unused as well, but after all these years sometimes you have to take what you can get. As far as which ones are the French-Canadian releases, J-F lined them all up with the U.S./English text sides/spines being displayed in the picture (was this on purpose? ), but I'll guess the 3 or 4 are:

- SubRoc

- Victory

- Front Line

- Carnival

Hey! What's with the Turbo box?

NIAD I would love to see a picture of your French/Canadian CIB games. I will post a picture in a couple of days I'm waiting on one in the mail

Which titles come with replacement labels? I wasn't aware that they were included with some versions.

Here's one that I got on ebay. They weren't replacement labels, if you bought the game back in the day in Canada you where supposed to take off the US label and put on the French/Canadian label in its place. French/Canadian carts are hard to find(at least here in America), and very rare to find unused labels. I just think its cool that they have a French/Canadian box, French/Canadian instructions, a US cart, and a French/Canadian label that you put on when you get the game. I have never heard of any other system doing that but I could be wrong.

Since I don't want to retype all this information again, I will just paste it from the CV Rarity List that I have been maintaining...

Canadian releases of Coleco game titles maintained a consistency with their U.S. counterparts with the

exception that the boxes and manuals where bilingual (French and English) and a bilingual replacement label was

included in the package that the owner could place over the U.S. (English) label if desired. There were two

exceptions to this with the games "The Dam Busters" and "B.C. II: Grog's Revenge". Both of these games were

supplied in different style artwork boxes, vastly different instruction manuals and B/W labels that included

both English and French text. Not only was the packaging different, but the standard ColecoVision title screen

was replaced with text title screens that included programmer credits.

Also, the left side/spine of the box is in English and the right side/spine is in French for most of these releases... others may be reversed.

Here is an example of Kun Uston with all the beels and whistles.

It is a very flegling collection at that Rellik with only two CIBs so far (one is pictured above), but I have most of them as loose carts that unfortunately had the replacement label attached.

  • 2 weeks later...

I was running around eBay just for fun and I've found several curious things.

First of all, a Fall Guy cartridge (it was not a prototype?), besides it looks too new to be original:

http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2F321104818795%3Fru%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.ebay.com%252Fsch%252Fi.html%253F_from%253DR40%2526_sacat%253D0%2526_nkw%253D321104818795%2526_rdc%253D1

A Gulkave cartridge at US$99.95 (it is still available at a lesser price in Good Deal Games):

http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2F161005205294%3Fru%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.ebay.com%252Fsch%252Fi.html%253F_from%253DR40%2526_sacat%253D0%2526_nkw%253D161005205294%2526_rdc%253D1

I've heard that a Q*Bert Qubes CIB was sold by US$400 some weeks ago just for point of comparison.

Fall Guy is a repro cartridge. I've seen several of them on eBay.

I still have one unsold copy of Ninja Princess, by the way. And a few other unsold games as well. :)
