Strange Intellivoice issue with an INTV 3

I recently came across an Intellivision 3 system. When I went to test out my new system I attached my Intellivoice and after powering on the system I get this constant static sound. If I remove the Intellivoice all the games play fine no static. What is odd is that I have an original INTV and an INTV 2 system and none of those have issues with my Intellivoice. Does the Intellivoice not play nice with a INTV 3 system? I could see where the answer might be to clean the contacts on the Intellivoice but why would it work fine on my other systems?

 

Anyone else seen this issue? Any INTV 3 owners out there?

Sounds very strange. Since it dont do it with your other systems i dont know what to tell you..
