Compare it with the genius of Haunted House. Adventure is possibly my all-time favorite. It was one of the games I played as a teenager in the '80's, so its in my blood. I like Haunted House a great deal, too, but I never played it until I got back into atari a couple years ago. I'm definitely going to check out E.T. soon. It would be nice to have the cartridges on hand, granted some games are a little more expensive and I think I would still depend on my Harmony cartridge for them! It would be nice to have the cartridges on hand, granted some games are a little more expensive and I think I would still depend on my Harmony cartridge for them! I can understand hesitancy to release the schedule, but i'm sure everyone at some point has played all of the games either rom or cart so I can't see how it would hurt. Or in the off season, open up a poll for the weekly games. after a certain amount of time, close the polls and publish the season schedule. Stan Posted September 15, 2011 Share Posted September 15, 2011 We did a little voting thing before that I thought was cool, but then he stopped doing it after about 4-5 times. The issue is that we don't want people practicing games longer than the actual competition. Some people have pretty much everything and regardless if someone needs to buy a game, theoretically said people could get a huge head start before anyone else. I personally don't think it really matters since the system is on honor anyway, but I do like the mystery of what the next game is going to be. As I mentioned before, I'm going to be taking a break for a few weeks. Work has been very stressful with the run up to NHL season... there's a lot of stuff in our building that is nowhere near ready, and it's been a very frustrating time trying to work around it for concerts and such (It doesn't help that we've had a heavy load of events too, with Keith Urban and Pearl Jam still to come before the first Jets game). Keep your eyes open in the regular Atari 2600 forum for something different that I've been wanting to do for a while... it's not quite High Score Club, but I think you'll all enjoy it just the same. I'm not sure when it'll happen, but I'm hoping for October 1st if things have calmed down by then. Compare it with the genius of Haunted House. I actually like E.T. better then Adventure too. E.T. has a scoreboard... and a really fun charecter to move around, not just a square block. You can always play for a best score too. Adventure is a nice game I kinda like (randomized play as well) but the lack of sound effects, graphics, and the fact it's 1979 makes it sort of a victim of it's old age. I'm just not into the late 70's 2600 games as much as I am the 80's ones. I still don't understand why Adventure was so hugely popular, and E.T. is considered one of the biggest dissapointments. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think my goal for next season is to be in the top 10 Thanks dude... my ending goal is "top 3" next (season 10). Since I hit the #1 this time, my goal will go down a notch, as you don't get better then #1st I could tie it, but it's going to be tough, it always gets tougher, with so many players that keep improving. I like to push myself, as much as I can here, to have nice results, and to shatter my old personal bests.
