SlowCoder #1 Posted September 7, 2011 I've been looking for a decent solution to my gaming console woes. Never seem to have enough space, or TV connections for that matter. Due to the limited space, most of my consoles have been in the closet, and I'd have to dig them out when I wanted to play. They pretty much remained in storage, because my limited play time didn't really allow me to unpack, connect, play, disconnect and repack easily. Not a fun way to enjoy my games at all. A little while ago I found a serving cart at Goodwill. It was missing its shelves, so I built new ones, and appropriated the cart as my new retro gaming station. (Only cart-based systems allowed ). As it's usually just me playing on these systems, I set up the station to have one controller for each system readily available. The cart is on wheels, so I just pull it out for easy play from my play/workroom couch. The 13" TV is not bad, fitting neatly on the cart, and big enough since the cart is within 3 feet when playing. My CV and IntV are both easily accessible, even with their short cords. All in all, this is working out really well for me, and is meeting my requirements for fun play and easy storage. And there is still room for one or two more consoles if I decide to hook them up. Love to know what you guys think.
Mxyzptlk #2 Posted September 8, 2011 Very nice set-up. Very clean and efficient. I do have a question, why is your 6 switch all black in front?

I am surprised I missed that thread. Nice job on your restoration. I thought I was seeing something that I missed in my 2600 console collection. disjaukifa #6 Posted September 8, 2011 I like the Vadar Heavy Sixer, very nice, very neat and organized . . . I need to be more like that, I just have stuff everywhere at the moment.
SlowCoder #7 Posted September 8, 2011 * derailing my own thread * Being that the "vader" is ALL black, it actually reminds me of KITT from Knight Rider. I should probably find an old 80's stereo with those volume LEDs and install them on the front. Hook up a circuit that makes them light up, and make the whoo-whoo sound. Loved that show. FYI: The new one sucked.
