Perl for atari

so awhile ago i had a perl interpreter for the atari..

does anyone know where i can get another copy

and does any one else do perl programming on the atari

There's perl 5 for MiNT (Atari ST, see google...) but I have never heard of a perl interpreter for the Atari 8-bit...

I am currently writing a home computer automation suite in Perl.

 

However, in my 13 years of Perl programming, I have never heard of Perl for the Atari (unless for the ST as mentioned).

Perl for the 8-bit Atari is impossible.

Fox, I'd be inclined to agree. A cut down version without any libraries may be possible, but that just wouldn't really be Perl.

 

Even the regular expression handling would probably consume several kilobytes of memory.
