Miss 2600 #1 Posted September 13, 2011 OK, I know I'm very late to the party on this, but I didn't know it existed until today when I saw it at Half Price Books and Records for $4.00. I was impressed with the line-up. There are a ton of 2600 games! It has a lot of Imagic games, too. Did Activision purchase Imagic? I was also surprised to see several homebrews on it like Oystron and Skeleton+ (I have that one on cartridge). Looking at the Amazon page, it includes music by A Flock of Seagulls, Alan Parsons Project, etc. That is almost my description of heaven! I didn't get it because I don't like playing games on my computer and, having Vista, it apparently doesn't work well (according to the reviews). I have a Harmony cartridge and a ton of '80s vinyl records to play in the background, so I really don't need it, but I was very impressed. Anyway, I know it has been discussed years ago, but I didn't want to resurrect some old thread. If anyone is at Half Price Books and Records, check it out if you're interested. You can't really go too wrong at $4.00.

I would totally get the Remix, especially for that price, but I've heard it does not work for Windows 7. The menu was setup like a bedroom of the 1980s, with a boombox and an old wood-paneled TV. You could choose your games and tune the radio from there. Also, if you scored high enough, you were rewarded with Activision patches on a bulletin board above the TV. opeygon #3 Posted September 13, 2011 Yes, Activision acquired the rights to Imagic titles after Imagic went under.
cvga #4 Posted September 14, 2011 .... Also, if you scored high enough, you were rewarded with Activision patches on a bulletin board above the TV. Activision didn't have the patches to the games before the first version of this came out so I (and others from atariage) lent them a bunch of our patches for the game. I still have a post it that says thanks from Ken Love.
