10-in-1 Atari joystick batteries

Recommended Posts

The manual says not to use rechargeable batteries, but I do in mine & so far it works fine. Will I ruin it over time using rechargeables?

re-chargables have a reputation to be more prone to leaks, un-even supply of power (think of mobile/laptop battery issues) so most manufacturers do not recomend them!

Both Issues occure more with well used re-chagebles.

That would proberbly be why.

You might experience uneven gameplay, but the batteries should work fine as long as you moitor them regularly (about once a week).

well if they work fine, keep using them

As I said well used and poorly kept ones do leak. This is more due to the hammering they get from clumsy users rather than any construction fault. So if you check em regular, ensure they are fully discharged before you re-charge them, I see no problem
