Can't Access In-Game Menu in MAMEUI32

Somehow the TAB key has stopped opening up the in-game controls menu in MAMEUI32. How do I reset the controls to default (I assume this will fix the problem)? In regular MAME you'd go to the CFG directory and delete the default.cfg file, but in MAMEUI32 there's nothing in the CFG directory!

if you still have the original sfx/self extracting executable, firstly delete the old mame directory (moving the various folders incl. roms, just leaving the cfg and ini folders and the files in mame directory) then delete any folders in the registery for mame or any entries for mame

 

Once you'd dane that just unzip or click on the sfx/self extracting executable mame file and tell it to unzip to whereever you want it to unzip to and move back the various mame folders incl. roms to the new location and see if that helps

 

I think there was an option for the UI within the 'miscellaeneous' tab within the default options thing (though i think that had sommat to do with the new UI rather then enabling the existing UI)
