Question about NBA Hangtime Arcade Game?

Hey Guys,

 

I'm really honestly very new to the Arcade ownership scene, so if this is a duh question please excuse my ignorance. My brother and I love NBA Hangtime and want to get the Arcade machine of it, but my question is this, if we create custom characters are they saved after we turn the cabinet off? Is there a way to save them?

I believe that game saves players, There is a 3 volt button cell battery on the board in the middle in a clip holder. If you have a volt meter test it to see if it about 3 volts or for the couple of bucks just replace it.

Yeah, it saves them if your battery works properly. They do die though so some of them will stop saving/etc.. Was a favorite in my arcade back when I had one....

Yeah I'm still looking for one, I was thinking about building a redundant battery backup for it so I could change out the batteries and not worry about it going bad!
