1 ATARI Console & 1 ATARI Computer PERIOD, now choose!

Recommended Posts

This is easy. For a console I would go with the 7800 (two in one). For the computer, again easy, the XEGS because it has the best stock composite video out of all the Atari computers and because I like my upgraded detachable keyboard (extra long cord).

Like most, I would choose a 7800 and 800XL (probably upgraded to 128K though).

I thought about the ST/Falcon range, but I prefer the down and dirty approach afforded by the 8-bits.

2600 Jr (long rainbow) and the 800XL

Both have big libraries of great games, both hold nostlagia for me, and both have really great looks.

Console - Atari 7800

Computer - nothing.

I picked Atari 7800 due to the fact you can play Atari 2600 and Atari 7800 games on a game console.

I never owned or used an Atari computer due to the fact I didn't have a computer at home before July 1994 as I were entering my sophomore year in High school. The 2nd thing is Atari computers were not in any of the school I went to at all.

Hmm. For the computer it would be an original Atari 800. I'd go with the 5200 for the console but since that's so close to the 8-bit computers I'd take my second choice, the Sears Cartridge Telegames System Video Arcade. You know, because it rolls off the tongue so easily. I always preferred the Sears versions of the Atari 2600 carts and packaging.
