eggomania
I completely understand you wanting to make some type of profit for this MAME cabinet. I just could not afford this at that price. If it was $100-$200 dollars cheaper I would have considered buying it. Another reason I was hesitant to buy it was I really didn't know what games were on it. I know you mentioned over 500 of them but I was not sure if they were all MAME games or if home console games were included such as Atari 2600, Colecovision, NES, etc. I'm only interested in the actual arcade games and if I am going to buy a MAME cabinet (because I will not be building my own), I want to make sure it has all the games from the pre 1990's, especially up to the year 1987. I have yet to find a smaller sized cabinet that carries the games I want for a price I can afford. But maybe I'll luck out one day.
Nebulon
I also think this is a very interesting (and attractive) project. However, the North American price point is $200.00 to $300.00 for something like this. Maybe a partial solution is to shop the idea to a number of Chinese manufacturers. There are bound to be some that can deliver good quality for a price that would put it into the $200 to $300 USD range. The game list is an important part of the marketing of this item and is something that most retro-gamers will insist on seeing first. Hopefully this idea can re revived in the future. Also, if they are arcade games, it would be best to turn the screen so that it is taller than it is wide (like in most arcade machines). That would give you an edge over a lot of existing emulator setups.
+Gemintronic
Ozma Wars (the original poster) hasn't logged on since 2013. The original deal he was considering was from 2011.
Nebulon
I'm sure he's not the only person considering doing something like this. Anyone who decides to give a project like this a shot could learn from this as a precedent.

That's what Ozma Wars was doing. http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Cocktail-Table-multi-arcade-game-machine_309402436.html
