+Larry
This has probably been posted before, but I can't find it. I've got an 800XL out today with an ICD RAMBO. The ram chips are MT 1259-12 (Micron Tech.) Are these good, not-so-good, or? What are a few "good ones?" What are ones to avoid? I seem to remember that -15 was the best speed to use. (?) Thanks, Larry
sloopy
they should be fine, the Micron Technology ( MT) DRAM chips that were 'bad' were all bought by atari themselves, if you find MT in other devices they should be fine (Apple was another common user of MT ram), so as long as they pass a decent memory test you should be good... sloopy. +Guitarman
Oki, NEC and KM numbered dram were good as well. I have used them in many upgrades with no issues.
