bigbee99 #1 Posted October 8, 2011 I noticed this cart for sale in the AA store not to long ago. http://atariage.com/store/index.php?l=product_detail&p=322 Then I ran across basicwayne on eBay selling them. Looks like to me they are boot legs. I could be wrong. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 290616196283 He's selling a ton of them. He has other bootleg c64 stuff up as well. What can be done to stop this guy? I honestly have no problem with him selling an old game that was only released on cart on a 5 1/4 disk if that is how he was marketing it. But the Cynthcart? Come on. What a hack job If basicwayne is the guy that wrote the Cynthcart then excuse this post. B
Albert #2 Posted October 8, 2011 I just sent a message to this seller asking him to discontinue these auctions. If he doesn't, I can use eBay's VeRO program which will force eBay to remove them. ..Al
bigbee99 #3 Posted October 8, 2011 That was FAST Al. I hate to call the guy out like that but bootlegging a home brew and under cutting it is wrong in so many ways. B
Albert #4 Posted October 8, 2011 That was FAST Al. I hate to call the guy out like that but bootlegging a home brew and under cutting it is wrong in so many ways. B Huh, he did remove all the auctions. Thanks for the heads up. ..Al
bigbee99 #5 Posted October 8, 2011 He removed all but one. I was referring to your speedy reply and action taken. B
madmax2069 #6 Posted October 9, 2011 Why did he remove all but one ? You would think that he would have removed all of them if they are bootleg, specially when called out.
+20ohm20 #7 Posted October 9, 2011 The bootleg copies of Wizard of Wor on disk he's been selling for the C64 are mildly amusing.

They are bootleg, I apparently will need to write him again. Perhaps he was hoping I wouldn't see that one remaining auction. ..Al
Albert #9 Posted October 10, 2011 I just wrote the seller again asking him to remove this last auction. ..Al
+20ohm20 #10 Posted October 10, 2011 I just wrote the seller again asking him to remove this last auction. He is going to stall until the auction expires or someone buys it. I've been reporting his bootleg C64 stuff to eBay for 4+ months with zero success.

I'll use the VeRO program if I need to, just a bit more work on my part. ..Al
