doom53 Posted August 16, 2012 Share Posted August 16, 2012 Hello,I have two game gears,one is brand new in the box but it has no sound and to see the screen you have to look at it at an angle(which has been mentioned here before).The other is used but also has no sound.Picure is alittle better but still not right.I guees the caps issue it the culprit.How much would it cost to get them perfect again?Thanks. akator Posted August 16, 2012 Share Posted August 16, 2012 Tonight I played 2 of Ax's repaired and LED modded Game Gears with my nephew, who stopped by on his way back to college. We had a blast, and he was especially impressed with the significantly longer battery life -- we got several out of them before we switched to other systems, and the batteries still have plenty of life in them. I bought it at a garage sale, when I brought it home and finally got a game for it, the screen was dim and I had to tilt it in order to see it. I was playing it today for like 10 minutes and the screen went black with white lines and then the system turned off. Now the game won't display and I have a black screen when I turn it on. Would you be able to fix this? Nicest dude to deal with, and the system is brilliant. The video and audio quality are perfect, unlike any Sega Game Gear I've seen in the last 10 years.
