That's easily doable on a stock A8 with a quad-interlaced screen and dual-Antic mega-RAM cart!

 

Jon, calm down, not everything must be done on an Atari 8 bit... :)

 

(Visions of Jons place with 8bits everywhere, making toast, controlling the TV et etc ) :)
