Shephda #1 Posted November 1, 2011 Hello all, I received today the above mentioned carts for the Atari. I know they are programming utility carts, but would like to get an idea of their value. Thanks for the help. Dan
russg #2 Posted November 1, 2011 (edited) Sounds like you have just the carts. For a collector, you'd need at least the manuals, preferably even the box they came in. I would guess you might sell them on ebaY. Starting bid, again depending whether you have the manuals, about $10 and see where they might go. They aren't rare and mostly rare games might bring more than $50. People today, who are interested in writing programs, can use free ROM files and emulators, there again the manual is key. I'm not well versed in Atari 8-bit cart values, so these are just some opinions. They'd be of interest to a very few beginning programing people, new cross assemblers and other tools are used by experienced programmers. The manuals are available on the internet in pdf form even. Rybags #3 Posted November 1, 2011 You'd have little trouble getting $20 each. But having the original manual and materials would make them more desirable. They're somewhat devalued these days - Mac65 isn't the pinnacle language cart it used to be thanks to modern emulators and PC-side assemblers. And, there's hacked images around of the OSS carts that allow to run them from a 128K Atarimax cart.

I knew their value without manuals\boxes is less, I just wanted an idea of what to ask for them. I don't put stuff like this on eBay unless it's worth the hassle. I'm not an Atari 8-bit user (C= man myself) but figured someone will want them and I don't want to look stupid asking $100 for them. Thanks again guys! Shephda #7 Posted November 1, 2011 I retract that! They are black with yellow labels. Sorry I'm at work and I only run with 16K memory.
Marius #8 Posted November 1, 2011 I'm interested in that Mac/65 cart. I'm still looking for one. At this moment I'm using Mac/65 and Synassembler, both in a AtariMax Flashcard, but I'd prefer to use the original. If you are interested in selling that Mac/65 cart... please drop me a line (Private) Thanks Marius
