Arcadia 2001 Multicart - 2011 version - any interest?

Recommended Posts

Just a quick update... things are moving forward, although a bit slower than anticipated (as is typical). Anyway, I've been cutting holes in the cartridge casings for the DIP switches. It looks like the weather (in the garage) will be okay this weekend, so I should be able to finish that task at least.

Any update on this project? I can't wait to get this.

Well, I was having too much fun with the family on the weekend to cut the holes for the DIP switches. That's today's project, now.

Hello, did you receive the cart I sent you?

I did, and today I cut a hole in it for the DIP switches. I measured twice for that one, because it's the only one I have in that style.

All the holes are now cut. The next step for the carts is to clean them up, including getting rid of any tape/glue residue.

Is there any update on this project? Are we getting closer to completion on this project? I'm not rushing you, I'm just curious.

Thanks,

Mike

Slow progress. Cleaning up the carts and almost ready to finalized the ROM list.

No hurry for me. I now have to sell a lot of games to get the money to even afford this. I hope its release is timed right where I have the money at the time. If not I hope you can at least hold one for me.

We`ll work something out.

My plan is to have these done this month, or maybe a week into March. That`s the plan, anyway.

hi there

I am interested too if not too expensive.

Very heavy crisis here and my funds for "hobbies" heavily reduced.

may I know the price ?

It will be $95 US to US or Canadian addresses. A bit more (actual difference in cost) to European addresses. I`ll notify you regarding payment when I`m done or pretty much done.

Sorry, I forgot about this thread.

1) If it's not too late, could I ask one favour. Could you please include Tester3.bin (from the Examples Pack) in the multicart? If someone can run it on the real hardware and report the results, it will help to improve the WinArcadia emulator.

2) If you are wondering any Arcadia ROM, load it into WinArcadia and choose "Game Information" from the Help menu. It knows basically all available Arcadia software.

Update time...

Well, I spent about 12 days in the hospital waiting to figure out what was wrong with me, having my appendix removed, then having lots of "fun" getting my stomach to recuperate. Anyway, I'm at home now, resting and getting stronger every day, so it's all good.

Once I get a bit stronger, I have some other priorities, some of which involve video games, and some of which do not. So this project will take a bit of a back seat for a while. It'll happen, but it will just take longer. I guess that's the advantage of not taking your money yet.

Tester3.bin is on the list. I don't think it's on my prototype, so I can't test it right now.

Yes, even if I sell my Arcadia now I will still be interested in the multicart for it when I know I have enough money because I can always find the system again down the road. And without unneeded game carts. Hope you feel better.
