Looking for cheapo common 2600 games and hookups only

I won a 4 switch off evilbay as a gift for someone and don't know what I need for hookups (assuming an r/f and a/c adapter?) also would like a few common cheapos like kaboom,pitfall (idk, gimme a list)...would very much like to trade but will purchase if need be.

Also, how do I test to see if this badboy works on my new tv? (assuming I cannot, I need an older model tv, correct?)
