Just giving a bump for this game since it's so awesome. Matthias says he still has several carts and CDs available (have to order from his German store I think).

Well worth it... hands-down, one of my favorite games for the Jag.

Yeah great game. I bought both recently from Matthais. It's a bit difficult to play with standard jaguar controller though. So I'm interested in purchasing a mouse for my Jag.

Can anyone tell me if the mouse on the eBay auction below will work on a Jag?

If it really is ST compatible (according to the description it is), then it should work.

Maybe you know this already, but don't forget that a mouse->Jaguar adapter is required.

this http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=88

along with the mouse to jaguar adaptor which is only a couple of wires connecting the pins described in the back of the impulse manual (parts can be obtained very easily on ebay) will allow you to use a pc PS2 mouse on the game i use an optical mouse most of the time.

NOTS: This draws more power than the jag joypad port is rated for but it works anyway.

Thanks I did not know I would need a mouse to Jaguar adapter also.

I'll definitely be on the look out as I'd really like to spend some time with this game!

Yup... from here: http://sales1632.myzen.co.uk/acatalog/16_32_Webshop_Jaguar_CD_Games_77.html

The site does look like it's from 1995, but he has a ton of stuff, including all of Orion's games too. I think he's the only one with any copies of Impulse-X still in stock.

Hello!

Hello matthias,i was curious to know the status of the other game you've been working called CLICKS!

Haven't really worked on Clicks! since 2007, but this might change soon :)

Kind regards

Alright... like my other post don't hate me. I'm selling my SPARE copy of Impulse-X on Cartridge.

I'm moving to San Antonio and looking to buy a new house, and I'm selling stuff I don't absolutely need.

I still have my normal copy, and I also have it on CD as well... so I'm just selling my spare copy. It's brand new in the box, never played. All the original stuff is included. I never thought I'd sell this game, even though like I said, I already have the CD version and another copy on cartridge. The game is so awesome... I just hate to lose my backup.. but... priorities.

And before everyone hates me... I've stopped buying 2 copies of every game. The last three or four games I've bought, I've only bought singles.

Who's hating? Buying a spare is a necessity when using an older system. It's like maintaining a classic car -- two is one and one is none!

Good luck on the sale. :)

True but it's still available on CD for 1/10th of that. Much better for the money to go back to the developer as that helps the commercialisation of more products.

If there was demand would Matthais consider a further run of this? That way everyone's a winner.

I would definitely buy a copy if Every 1's A Winner was included as the title song!

Has anyone ever had a cartridge go bad?

I have a Ruiner Pinball cartridge that glitches if not inserted a certain way. I think the board may be worn on the edge. Other than that I've never had a problem with a Jag cart that a little cleaning couldn't fix.

I know... I just feel bad about it. I wouldn't sell it if I didn't think I needed every last cent. I just renovated my home (myself)... spent about 40 grand in total on two bathrooms, front doors, tile, all that... but... yeah, I'm being a bit elitest because I'm going to be renting this house out while I go buy another home in San Antonio. But hey... I drive a 14 year old Ford Explorer with 140k miles on it... so I don't feel too bad.

That's a crazy price.

Hah, that's why I feel bad.

However...

If someone wants they will pay

Exactly... and these games do go for this price... now and then.

It's not like I stole it. I expressed interest in buying two carts, and paid for them... so that gave him more money when he made the initial order. I also bought a CD version of the game too when he initially offered it. I don't think there's any more CD versions, at least not in the US.

Has anyone ever had a cartridge go bad?

ALMOST... my Cannon Fodder game stopped working for a long time. I had pretty much lost hope.

I did everything including a Catholic séance and posting about it. Only after that point did it magically start working again.

Impulse X sites still live so you can still get the CD if you wish.

Like I say if there's demand for carts then always worth checking the potential for another run you never know until you ask.

As for myself never once had a cart go bad not even when my kid coated one in jam, it still worked after a bit of tlc.

You sell it for whatever you want!! I got slammed by the guys at Atari Forum for the asking price of my Falcon. I don't live by comity, I actually have received a fair shake from the folks here. The truth is most people will not sell something without expecting to sell at a profit. Why should Atari hardware be any different.

Ah man... someone's already got the high bid of $200 bucks. That means I'm committed to selling it. Part of me was hoping no one was going to bid... hahah. I have to keep reminding myself that I still have the one I play all the time, and this was just my spare one.
