Anemos #1 Posted November 18, 2011 I have made my own Sdrive, PCB all materials, boxes plugs,ect..,by me, and using old refurbish electronic components nothing buying (exept Atmega8). youtube (on testing..) : Many thanks to Robert Petružela (Bob!k) & Radek Štěrba (Raster) http://raster.infos.cz/atari/hw/sdrive/sdriveen.htm
Rybags #2 Posted November 18, 2011 Good work. What we need next is to get a version reduced to fit into a slightly lengthened SIO plug.
bobotech #3 Posted November 18, 2011 So what parts did you use? Is this something that is fairly easy to do for someone on the tight budget?

All of the schematics and parts lists are here http://raster.infos.cz/atari/hw/sdrive/sdriveen.htm build to suit!
Anemos #6 Posted November 18, 2011 (edited) So what parts did you use? Is this something that is fairly easy to do for someone on the tight budget? I've learned not to throw anything, so I have lots of materials from TVs, Motherboard, and more .. capacitors, resistors, diodes, crystals, ect.. used but all tested and working .. Well i have use polyester caps instead ceramic, crystal, 14.3, instead 14.3XXX,other colors led,s, using other similar type to Le33 (low voltage) regulator 3.3v, I made by myself the network resistors, the connector SIO, the circuit PCB, ect.. cost only 3 euro to buy the ATMEGA8. I have made it in free time.. so takes about total of 10-12 hours work, shedding at intervals..but is funny work!
