Boards to make your own carts, who sells them?

I want to make some carts, and instead of hacking up old ones, I would prefer to use new boards with provisions for the inverter chip. Who sells them?

You might want to try Best Electronics in San Jose, CA. They have lots of parts for the game systems and computers. After a quick look on their site I didn't see them listed but that doesn't meant they don't have any.

Best has a couple of different 2600 cartridge PCB's (8K and 16K) listed in their print catalog, but I don't see specific info about them.

Thanks, I was thinking more of a DIY board that would use an inverter flor typical EPROM style chips..

I did, (and he did reply) that is probably what I will do. I plan on using eeproms, so I need to do some more pin compatability research. I think 28c64 is what I will use.

What we need is a board like the melody cart. Then we could program them very easily.

But you will still end up with replacement parts I think. I doubt they make new chips like 2K ROMs like in 1977... so you know... it's gonna be pretty much imperfect work after all...

I think the eeproms are more durable, and newer technology, so they might only be 15 years old.
