2600 and parallax scrolling?

more than 25 years since I played Jungle Hunt on the 2600 but just watched the video and it has parallax scrolling? cool... I have to admit...

At that resolution you can do 8-fold parallax on the A8

 

I wonder why it is ok to use that low resolution on the 2600 , but not on the A8 ....

simply because on 2600 this is HD resolution...

Then start analyzing it and check how to optimize it for the A8. You even could use hires for some scanlines....
