pocketmego #1 Posted November 30, 2011 This video discusses it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqzuZ5xyPgo&feature=feedu What do you guys think?
StoneAgeGamer #2 Posted November 30, 2011 I would disagree. Current gen gaming is too tight. DRM and other anti-piracy measures are too restrictive. P.S. I kid...I kid....
FalcoPhoenix808 #3 Posted December 1, 2011 I agree that the limited installs on a PC game is pretty lousy. And as far as the DLC, a lot of the DLC would've been unlockables in games in the past for doing certain things. Annoys me to no end when I buy a game at Gamestop and they hound you with all the DLC you can get, most of which should already be available anyway. Video #4 Posted December 5, 2011 Current Gen gaming has been loosing it's way for years. A lot of which was covered by the above poster. Hacking games up to $5 and $10 customers? That's not good But seriously, making a game that can only be played on one or a few systems? WTF? Some people upgrade computers fairly regularly (by that, I mean more than once every five years) Then again, those people aren't the types to "play that old shit from last month" probably anyways. amiman99 #5 Posted December 6, 2011 I could only watch up 10min, then I fast forward it, anyway, I noticed he was playing/showing Amiga and Saturn games. I personally dont buy PC games, for 2 reasons: 1. most current games will not run or crash on my PC (QuadCore AMD with ATI 2400XT), 2. DRM stuff. As for console game, I mostly buy used or on sale, I cant see to pay $60 for a game that I will probably not finish. I usually dont buy DLC stuff, only if is free. One observation, software is the only product that can be sold defective or incomplete.

SlowCoder #8 Posted December 6, 2011 Would love to be able to watch the whole thing, but I'm having such a hard time hearing his message through his accent. Companies make mondo bucks on DLC. People are willing to pay. Maybe not now, but when you see your friends buy DLC, and you haven't, you can't play with them any more. So, you're left with the choice of not being able to play with your friends, or paying up. We can all bitch and whine about DLC, but enough of us will eventually pay just because we want to be able to play. The only way DLC will stop is if people stop paying. But that's not going to happen any time soon. Too many players want to play, and are willing to pay.
