Can anyone help identify this?

Recommended Posts

First off, I know the

is very bad. It was posted a while ago, and Youtube has diminished the quality, along with I just wasn't all that good at filming, nor knowledgeable at the time. I consider myself a little more versed in hardware since I acquired this two years ago, but I'm still stumped. I don't have a camera with which I can re-record a video, and it's been bothering my lately that I could rebuild my compaq portable, but still don't know what this does.

To add a little info to the video:

All other cards are the same, they run off an AC current. Each has an individual power switch, a female db25 connection. It has two phone connections with all four lines connected, so it's not JUST for data use, I presume. It can power the lines too (or feed off a power connection?) The LEDs are labled TM AA HS OH SD RD TR CD.

Thanks for your time

Some kinda of bank of modems?

The LEDs are labeled just like those on a modem: AA=Auto Answer, HS=High Speed, OH=Off Hook, SD=Send Data, RD=Receive Data, CD=Carrier Detect

ETA: BOCA Research Modem Rack

It looks like yours is missing the front cover.

Yup, that looks right to me! Thanks for the info & link! I'll have to see what I can do with it now. Maybe I can find a better use than a prop to keep my macro-keyboard up a little higher!
