Pac-Man & Q*bert

Great videos as always. Q*Bert is a great port and not often talked about for Intellivision.

I find Q*Bert too slow. It looks awesome, until you start playing and notice that it feels flickery and jittery.

You would love Q*Bert on one of my INTV consoles with double sprites, boy is that a challenge (both are live to be killed, but only 1 helps complete the board)

If it's like on the colecovision version, starting at level 4 it gets faster.

The same thing happen on the arcade version but at level 3 round 3 ... I think.

I didn't mean slow as in game difficulty, I meant as in jerky movement, like bad stop-motion cartoons. The graphics refresh rate seems very lame, and consequently the game feels unresponsive.

I actually quite like the Intellivision version. Although graphically it isn't so impressive, I find the gameplay more challenging than other versions I've played.
