+Larry #1 Posted December 18, 2011 There is a minor but annoying bug in Bob Puff's VTOCFIX.COM 1.2. This is a utility that can help maintain/fix MyDos (and other Dos 2-like) disks. The bug is that it frequently reports the VTOC size to be off by -1 sector. So if a sector is set up in MyDos to be 20,000 sectors, VTOCFIX will report it as 19,999 and ask if you want to correct it. 99% of the time, I just say "no." I guess it also could be a MyDos bug. Does anyone have any more info on this issue? -Larry
Marius #2 Posted December 18, 2011 No it is not a Vtocfix bug. It is a failure in ATR system. When I create a 65535 sector sized ATR. And I format it... There is not 65535 sectors allocated, but 'only' 65534. As soon as I run VTOC Fix (which will see: 65535 sectors) it will report an error on this. On 'real' harddrives (not sio/atr based) this issue does not occur. Well... not to mine partitions at least.
