FS: Amiga 2000 2.1 OS with HD and software

Recommended Posts

For sale Amiga 2000 with 2.x ROMS and AmigaOS v2.1.

1MB Chip RAM, MB rev 6.2

HD size is 120MB, 2 partitions in 60MB each.

A2091 HD controller with 1MB Fast RAM

Comes with System Disks v2.1 and 2 books- "Getting Started" and "User's Guide",Book - Introduction to Amiga 2000, Deluxe Paint 3 - 3 disks and book, Imagine (3D rendering software) - disk only, Professional Calc - Complete, ProWrite - Complete, copy of OctaMED disk.

The bad:

Floppy drive LED is not working, I replaced the LED but is still not working. The drive itself is in very good condition, reads and writes w/o any errors. I used the drive to install all software on HD. Floppy drive is a little sticky when ejecting disks.

#1 pin in CPU socket, showed in pic, is kinda broken/loose. Does not affect operation, after delivery it may need to be pressed down.

No mouse

There was a battery leak, looks like it did not spread to active components, so every thing works fine.

The front bezel is from A2500, this is more like A2000HD. The original cover was not clean. I can include it if you want

Top of the PSU is bent.

The good:

I replaced the #1 mouse port, some pins were pushed in, so I replaced it.

The Video Hybrid chip was broken, replaced.

Upgraded from 1.3 to 2.x

Keyboard is nice, no missing keys

Run Amiga diagnostic s/w, all tested functions are pass

Runs solid.

Asking $135 plus shipping (this sucker is heavy), so USA only

Thank you for looking and ask questions

Also I will have A500 for sale later on (SOLD)

If I had seen this in time I would have too. Great deal. Great machine and I am an Atari man.

It's been sitting here in Marketplace since Dec 23. No takers, no offers, so I tried Ebay and it sold in 1hr for $125.

The Amiga is great and it runs great too. Not perfect.

I have Video Toaster 2000 board too, I'm considering selling, but I need to test it in my other A2000 to see if it still works. Currently I have VT4000 in my Amiga 2000.

I know, I've been watching it since then, thinking I want it, but don't really "need" it, you know? Self-control and all that. Neat machine.

For games I recommend A500 or A1200, the A2000 is big and heavy and not too convenient to move around. A2000 is great with Video Toaster.

Why do you have to move it around to play games if it's able to be left sitting on a desk all the time anyway? I have a 500, but the A2091 with CF can be mounted inside the 2000, making it more convenient if you look at it like that.

But, anyway...

I have almost all All Amigas, so no space on my desk for all of them. The A1200 is my primary one.

You are right with the A2091, load your game on Hd and play, no need for floppies.

I actually have a A500 zorro adapter, so just for fun, I plug my A2091 HD controller to A500 and play around. Maybe someday I can build case for it.

I'd love to have a 1200. I still need to build a case for my 500's 2091.

Thread sat for weeks, now it's sold, lots of bumps, ha ha.
