MRB2011 #1 Posted December 26, 2011 What is the name of the game shown at 3:16 in this video? It looks like the best version of Asteroids I have seen for the 2600. I have played different hacks of the original, but this looks a lot better. If you could name the game and point me in the direction of obtaining a rom for it, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! maiki #2 Posted December 26, 2011 I think it is not the 2600 version... it looks like vector graphics -> Asteroids Deluxe?
Csonicgo #3 Posted December 26, 2011 I'm going to say that's a hack, or a bootleg. Since they showed Quadrun on there though, I'm not too sure. Quadrun is VERY rare, why would they show *that* game?
krypton85 #4 Posted December 26, 2011 It's just the arcade version of asteroids...
Mxyzptlk #5 Posted December 26, 2011 It's just the arcade version of asteroids... No. Look at the 3:16 point in the vid.
krypton85 #6 Posted December 26, 2011 Oh, it looks like they took screens from the Flashback 2, which has asteroids deluxe and quadrun on it, that would explain everything...
MRB2011 #7 Posted December 27, 2011 I was confused because the graphics looked like vector, but the score at the top definitely looks like 2600 graphics.
MRB2011 #8 Posted December 27, 2011 If that is a hack, does anyone know where to find it?
krypton85 #9 Posted December 27, 2011 If that is a hack, does anyone know where to find it? It's on the Atari Flashback 2 Also, Asteroids Vector edition by Hozer
maiki #10 Posted December 27, 2011 Well it looks like Asteroids from Flashback 2, but look at the different ships! This is just not that version! I think they mixed the vector arcade version and later in the video showed that hacked 2600 version... youtube: flashback 2:
