José Pereira #1 Posted January 8, 2012 (edited) This one started at AtariOnline and our Polish friends were talking about it... I never understand why... how... and the idea behind LCP... but it is that kind of games that would never been done justice if Activision had an A8 version back on the Eighties. Now? Now it's possible but I don't know if it is really worth.. Just DLIs. and some PMs underlays where other PMs gives the overlays for the guy and his faithful doggy: And when there are so many games missing in A8, is this one really important? It would be so simply to move the guy and the dog over this screen... Could it be used all the code/history of the original and just replace the guy and dog to soft sprite and PMs overlay over this G2F screen be simple and quickly? +Ransom #2 Posted January 8, 2012 I was always fascinated by that game, but never owned it. I'd fool with it in the computer store, back in the day. It would certainly be interesting to have a version of it for the A8.
+Philsan #3 Posted January 8, 2012 I'd love to see this game ported to A8, if possible with stairs to go to upper floor!

high voltage #9 Posted January 9, 2012 Of course it would have been worth it. It is a masterpiece of C64 originality, and it's up there in the top 10 of best C64 softs (Well, not in Retro Gamer's recent C64 top 10, they just had some English stuff in there which wasn't even close to any US classic C64 software). +CharlieChaplin #13 Posted January 13, 2012 (edited) Looks interesting... GYMASTIK ok so far so good... ABZUBRECHEN... DOH! now where is my English-German dictionary another one to download and try Well, take a look here: (post nr. 16) http://atarionline.p...&page=1#Item_39 We are working on an english translation of LCP / Computer Inhabitants. But it will take a while, since the program is not only slow (even in TB XL) but also has dozens of bugs... -Andreas Koch. P.S.: Not all words could be found in my german-english dictionary, the program uses german slang as well as some german swear words (and those are hard to find in a dictionary)... +CharlieChaplin #14 Posted January 15, 2012 Alright, here is my first try of an english translation of CI/LCP. Please note that english is not my mother tongue and therefore accept some errors in spelling and translation. If you cannot live with that, try Google translate or simply try the original german version or the forthcoming polish version... Of course if you find some serious errors, or if there are some things still in german language, let me know. But then again, I am not a programmer nor the author of this PD game, so if there are programming bugs in the game, don`t blame me... NOTE: I tested this version on my real Atari 800XL (PAL) and it works. A few seconds ago I tested it on Atari 800 Win and it does not work ("Error 138 timeout at line 70") - and I have no clue why... maybe someone can correct this ?!? -Andreas Koch.
