Best (and Worst) Looking Consoles?

Some of my favorites would be the 5200, its big and shiny, and the controllers look awesome. To me, the 5200 is iconic of the early 80's. Also like the Genesis/MegaDrive 1. I remember first seeing it in magazines, with the big circle around the cartridge port, made it seem like a cd player, almost like there was something special going on inside. The 2600jr was also a pretty nice design.

 

As for the worst, while I do like the PC Engine and TG16, what is going on with the SuperGrafx? To be fair, I have only seen pics of it though.

Its just as bad looking in person, I saw one once a collectors house I met up with on craigslist to buys some games. The SuperGrafx seriously looks like a shitty car engine cover.

Yeah, it probably looks even more out of place when it's combined with a PC Engine CD unit, haha. I guess looking like an engine beats looking like a toilet, though.

Best looking retro console: PS2 slim or maybe black Dreamcast (if it didn't say Sports on it)

Worst looking retro console: Intellivision (all those 80s consoles look really ugly to me)

 

Oxidized SNES, Jaguar, and 32X are all butt ugly. I really like the Xbox360 tho.

Gotta agree it's pretty hideous. The SNES is nothing special to look at normally, but when it's "poop yellow", it's pretty bad.

Does anyone else hate the Coleco Telstar? It's a bit chaotic for my taste. The heavy sixer looks a bit clunky, too.
