Bartsfam #3 Posted January 18, 2012 I have to say that Frenzy is my all time favorite, hands down, for the CV. I really love the replay value, because each game is different. Threre is no memorizing of patterns, or finding the hidden weaknesses. It's just all out blasting, and quick reflexes! Great game, and I have yet to find one as enjoyable from other systems of the era.

schuwalker #6 Posted January 30, 2012 I always prefered the gameplay of Frenzy over Berzerk. And for the record, the arcade version of Frenzy did NOT have the voices either. I used to play the arcade upright at Dominicks foodstore. Definitely a semi-rare game. (It's my understanding that Frenzy didn't do well in the arcades.) Needless to say, I think this is hands downs the best arcade port on the Colecovision and a *must have* for any owner!
+SpiceWare #7 Posted January 30, 2012 And for the record, the arcade version of Frenzy did NOT have the voices either. I've researched Frenzy quite a bit for Frantic and while the robots aren't as chatty as in Berzerk, they still speak. Wiki covers this: Finally, the robots in Frenzy are less talkative than those in Bezerk, only speaking in a few specific situations. They say "Robot attack!" when Evil Otto appears, "Charge attack shoot kill destroy" when the player kills Otto, "The humanoid must not destroy the robot" when entering the Big Otto room, "The humanoid..." when shooting the Central Computer, and the dialogue randomly alternates between "A robot must get the humanoid" and "A robot, not a chicken" when the Robot Factory dispenses a new robot. The constant background chatter of the original game is gone. Maybe the one you played had something wrong with the audio circuits.

I does have speech (Robot Attack) but not nearly as much as Berzerk.
