Rev #5 Posted January 19, 2012 This homebrew from 2004? :- http://www.pixelkitc...ellivision.html yes with new box and overlays just a straight re-release or any new features added? i would buy it eother way. i bet you could pump out another 100 copies easy and sell them on AA and Ebay. ls650 #6 Posted January 20, 2012 I voted 'maybe'. Of course any release is a good thing, but I'd rather see something new.
+thegoldenband #7 Posted January 20, 2012 I voted "yes". Space Patrol and SG&R are being re-released, and I have Stonix, so this and 4-Tris are the main "old homebrews" that are currently out of my reach. And I think the ROM for 4-Tris is around, but I don't think Minehunter's ROM is, though I do have a beta. Far better that new copies get made, rather than paying a massive markup on Ebay -- especially if the original programmer is willing and, in return, would get a few bucks. crade #11 Posted January 20, 2012 My minehunter is the only post 2000 game I have whose box doesn't hold together properly
+thegoldenband #12 Posted January 20, 2012 Just to correct my earlier post, the Minehunter ROM is absolutely available, and can be downloaded from a few places including the author's website. In fact, he's even made the source code available. It's great, BTW! Of course it's "just" Minesweeper if you want to look at it that way, but it's a very well-implemented version, and the sound/visual effects are great. +save2600 #14 Posted January 20, 2012 Nope. Would never play such a game. Would rather purchase and play that homebrew Moon Patrol I missed out on.
+thegoldenband #15 Posted January 20, 2012 Would rather purchase and play that homebrew Moon Patrol I missed out on. Joe Z. has confirmed that a re-release is planned, though it's probably a little ways off yet. I definitely look forward to that, since the teaser version is terrific!
