If I don't have the upgraded version complete by CGE, I'll still probably be in a position to give a demo of where I'm at and start taking down a list of who's interested. When I say "for CGE", I mean simply "in time for CGE." I'm using it as a deadline to have everything ready, and will make available what I can after the event. We are working on the packaging as we have a verbal agreement with Ryan. If you go to CGE you will hopefully be able to purchase, D2K Arcade, Minehunter, Super Space Patrol, and Christmas Carol and hopefully one other big release all at the same table. And just so you know, Christmas Carol would not be possible if not for the help of many people, key of them is Joe Zbiciak (intvnut). I appreciate your enthusiasm for new games, and I promise you that they're coming; but please, always consider this: making video games is very hard. It is doubly so when you need to balance it with the rest of your life, family, and other interests. All Intellivision programmers want to make original games, but life has a tendency of getting in the way, no matter how passionate you are. Sometimes, making a sequel to a game, or enhancing a previous version is our way of keeping the platform fresh and alive rather than making the community wait another decade for that perfect game. It also gives the chance to newcomers to get their hands on home-brewed games (I know I missed the boat on 4-Tris and Space Patrol, and I'm looking forward to their re-release). Cheers! -dZ. I'm considering buying a baseball card book and making it an overlay collection book, keeping a copy or two of all I can gather. Always overlays. Secondly, with respect to home brews, I would love to have Space Patrol, Minehunter, Stonix, D2K Arcade, and 4-Tris. They are high on my collect list and I would consider newer enhanced versions, especially around the $50 range, rather than double or more. What else, if anyone wants to enhance an older game...SIMULTANEOUS TWO PLAYER WORM WHOMPER. Or River Raid. Or, have 2nd player be different and have different weapons (SuperMarioBros2?). There are NEW games on the way as well, so it dont matter that if they were released before. No one should complain that they are re-released, if they already own them then dont buy them. And if they are a hardcore collector and dont want to spend the money, then tough. But if they HAVE to have EVERYTHING then get a second job or sell a kidney. Stonix, of the 'Intelligentvision' original releases, I think got the most units out there at around 250. The author of Minehunter has gone with us to do a re-release, because he wants to see people able to buy his game again. I forget the actual number of units it sold, but I think it was around 150. 'Collectors' shouldn't fear the re-release of a title. Minehunter for example, being re-released will drop the price being asked for the 'Intelligentvision' release. Sometimes, this may or may not be true...take action figures for example (gi joe or transformersfrom the 80's) The original releases still command a high price even when they have been re-issued to death over the years......But time will tell if the original 4 Intelligentvision releases hold their value or not......but hey, its not all about the value, its about the gameplay!
