Does any one Remember the Comic put out by DC Comic called Atari Force. This came out in 1984. I have other ones

but they date in the second year. I also have special edition ones. Anyways I was just curious if anyone else had these

Thanks

Hi Slyde

Anyways I thought it would be interesting to post pictures of this comic book since it came out in 1984. The funny thing is that it came out after the

Atari 400 and 800 had stopped being made. I imagine that the XL type computers were being sold in 1984. i know there was still alot of people using the

Atari 800 and 400 computer still since they were very high cost Items in those years.

I now wonder what started the Ideal for a comic book like this because I really never gave it much thought before.

It still pretty neat to see how Atari did effect America and it kids in those times.

Thanks

Sean

Hi

I was in Highschool and almost ready to graduate. Anyways I remember walking into Safeway a Grocery Store in Washington state. It had an electronic

department in it. It had tones of Atari 2600 games in stock. The most interesting thing was they had the Atari 400 and 800 on Display. This was around

1979 to 1981 time frame. Boy they were high price. They had the Atari 400 Priced around $599,99 and the 800 was over $1199.99.

Also later on they were selling the speak an spell unit that were red in color. They also brough in the Coleco Vision systems later trying

to compete with the 2600. Let me say people were not buying them. That 2600 system by Atari was killing every other game system

on the Market.

Anyways I thought they were cool so I posted on the First Year copies I have. I have the second years and some from 1986.

Thanks

Sean
