ziggystar #2 Posted January 30, 2012 As far as I knew, Robot Tank was only for the 2600...
miker #3 Posted January 30, 2012 Try dumping the contents. Maybe some unreleased proto (or at least some source-code) is there on this disk.

Gunstar #6 Posted February 24, 2012 Robot Tank is an Activision game isn't it? If so, I doubt a prototype would be on an Atari labeled disk.
Bryan #7 Posted February 24, 2012 Robot Tank is an Activision game isn't it? If so, I doubt a prototype would be on an Atari labeled disk. Atari sold boxes of branded disks like the one above so best case scenario would be that this disk contains some sort of development files by an Activision employee using Atari disks which ended up in the hands of an Atari employee (which could happen since the Activision guys were ex-Atari guys and were probably still friendly with those not in management). It also could be that an Atari employee dumped a Robot Tank cart for analysis. The disk could be formatted for a non-Atari system, though.

Gunstar #11 Posted March 16, 2012 It would be fantastic if it's an actual A8 version of Robot Tank. That game is fantastic on the 2600, I'd love to see a graphically and sonically enhanced A8 version.
