Robot Tank?

Recommended Posts

Raised Eyebrow. Just found this disk in a box of disks from an ex-Atari employee.

Try dumping the contents. Maybe some unreleased proto (or at least some source-code) is there on this disk.

Robot Tank is an Activision game isn't it? If so, I doubt a prototype would be on an Atari labeled disk.

Atari sold boxes of branded disks like the one above so best case scenario would be that this disk contains some sort of development files by an Activision employee using Atari disks which ended up in the hands of an Atari employee (which could happen since the Activision guys were ex-Atari guys and were probably still friendly with those not in management). It also could be that an Atari employee dumped a Robot Tank cart for analysis. The disk could be formatted for a non-Atari system, though.

It would be fantastic if it's an actual A8 version of Robot Tank. That game is fantastic on the 2600, I'd love to see a graphically and sonically enhanced A8 version.
