krypton85
So I was looking at the carts I recently got and I noticed that the star maze with the blue label was heavier than the regular label one, So I took apart "Journey to the Planets" and found this inside: Looks like a proto to me, Any thoughts? Atari8bitCarts
I think that Roklan had many different labels and cart housings. This is a Gorf that looks simlar to your carts: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 220946601867 Here's pitfall jone's cart (see Gorf): http://www.pitfalljo...ic-big/gorf.jpg Another on eBay: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 310326262899 The sticker's look intereseting but I've seen many stickers on production carts. Does the label wrap around?
krypton85
Yea, the label wraps around, it's paper without a plastic coating.
+swlovinist
I think that its a standard release. I have found 8-bit cart variants with similar insides and label variants. Carts made during this time often used more than one supply chain and sometimes were made with "what was cheapest and most available at the time". krypton85
Remember Da Fuzz was found with a "production label" but it's still considered a prototype...

Actually, I believe Da'Fuzz is considered production since more were discovered. I thought it was a proto, but was corrected Edited February 7, 2012 by chrislynn5

Atari8bitCarts
I forget, I think it was someone at Atarimania (i'll have to go back through emails). I too thought and said it was a prototype, and was corrected.
www.atarimania.com
That's one of the numerous pages on our site that needs an update. Da' Fuzz is a prototype, the only cartridges found with a label were review copies. -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com
Atari8bitCarts
I stand corrected. Thanx for the update.
