19rsn007
Maybe try a higher rev. It must be up to Suck7 by now I just downloaded the most recent source from the Virtual Jaguar website. It keeps complaining about how SDL.h is not found....
Shamus
/me checks to see if the documentation for VJ has suddenly and inexplicably gone missing... Nope, it's still there. If you look at docs/INSTALL from the VJ tarball, you'll see the following: REQUIREMENTS: ------------- The minimum requirements for compiling Virtual Jaguar from source are: o GCC v4.4.x or higher o SDL v1.2.14 or higher o zlib v1.2.5 o libcdio v0.90 or higher (optional, for Jaguar CD support) o OpenGL libraries o Qt 4.7.3 or higher o supported OS (BeOS, Linux, FreeBSD and WIN32 through mingw, MacOS); other OSs may work to but you may need to change some items in the Makefile. So if any of those things are missing from your installation, it's not going to build. On a binary distro like Lubuntu, you're going to have to chase down the developer packages for those things if you want to have any hope of success. 55five66six
You need to install the QT4 dev version. Both VJ 2.1.0 and the normal version from the site compiled just fine after I installed those.
Shamus
I've heard that it's better to be pissed off than pissed on. Dunno what the deal is there with your setup, sounds like you might be missing something critical like qt-sdk? You might get more traction in the Ubuntu forums, or on an IRC channel where Ubuntu devs hang out as the problem you're experiencing are not problems with anything missing in VJ, it's stuff missing from your distro. 55five66six
It was due to the Qt4 development libs. Things should be working fine now! :-)
