Looking for demos as files that run in a continual loop

Recommended Posts

I'm using ATOS GUI/desktop and it allows demos to be used as screen savers, but they need to run in a loop and not stop.

Any suggestions?

And err,

all TIP animations (available at atarionline.pl for download), all HIP animations (also available at atarionline.pl), the Hobbytronic High Resolution Power-Pack demos (Atari XL, Glashead, Trabant, Starwars), The Worms demo, The Wormhole demo, Amiga Boink, Fuji Boink, Video Blitz XE, various Raytracing Demos (128k, 320k, 1088k), Movie-Maker demos/animations, Shiny Bubbles Demo, and many many more...

Maybe this goes without saying, but if you are going to really use a demo as a screen saver, and you are using a non-lcd display, make sure the demo doesn't leave anything on the screen continuously or you could burn that image into your tv or crt. For instance some demos may have graphics that move around, but leave a text line unchanged.

I'll keep that in mind, however, it's not like I leave my Atari and monitor on all day like I may with my PC. This is more of a fifteen-twenty minute break type thing, or just for a conversation piece with company.

Thanks for all the options guys! I was going to say I knew about the boink! demos...

Here are a few tech demos that would make decent screen savers. The demos are for showing off a couple of different sprite techniques. The mario, numbers and pyramid demos are all from the same author (maybe NRV?). They are all greyscale colored, but I guess anyone who's interested in changing the colors could hack them easily enough. The starsplexer demo is PAL only, unless you like flickering (author = Heaven/Taquart?).
