FND #1 Posted February 17, 2012 Wanted to add some information / pictures of the Channel F System 1 I just picked up with hardwired Jet-Sticks. Since this is the second time I have seen a System 1 with hardwired Jet-Sticks I think Zircon must of been using them (Jet-Sticks) on systems that were being sent in for repair, this would of been done in the last minutes of there sales/repair history Here is a scan of Second Channel F News Letter
BassGuitari #2 Posted February 18, 2012 Very cool! It's interesting that Zircon replaced the original controllers with these in VES/System I units (or did they modify them to the Jet Stick's specs? Seems unlikely...). I never knew they did that. Wasn't the Jet Stick supposed to be sold seperately as a replacement/upgrade for the System II's removeable controllers? I've always liked the Channel F controller, myself. With or without the fire button.

I've always liked the Channel F controller, myself. With or without the fire button. You know I always thought the Jet-Sticks were only for the system II's with the removable joystick port also but now after re-reading the sales flyer for the Jet-Stick I am not sure why I thought that ?. No where does it say exclusively for the system II or System II only. Seems they must of had both styles made and if you wanted a set of jet-sticks on your system 1 it could be done when sending it in for reconditioning, which apparently a few had done.
