FND #1 Posted February 19, 2012 I have two different Xonox Double Ender Games both with what I would bet is original shrinkwrap Chuck Norris superkicks / Artillery Duel Spike's Peak / Ghost Manor My question has to do with a very small Pin hole on the top of both boxes in nearly the same location this spot also has a round hole in the shrinkwrap perfectly centered around this hole (hole in the shrinkwrap is the size and looks of what you would see when using a hole punch for three ring binders) Is this a tell tail sign of original shrinkwrap used by Xonox, I expect this is some sort of position holder that there shrinkwrap machine would of done during the shrinkwrap process. Can others look at there boxes and see if they have this same type of mark. Not sure if all Xonox games were shirinkwraped ? Here is a scan of both box ends with a little white arrow I added to show where the little hole is located Here is the scans of the front and back of boxes showing the Original KingNormans price stickers and rack hangers Also the big round yellow sticker on the front of the following box is on the outside of the shrinkwrap not under it
Dino #2 Posted February 19, 2012 I've seen those holes in other old era shrinkwrap too. Doesnt mean that it cant be replicated with modern shrinkwrap
bojay1997 #3 Posted February 19, 2012 Pretty sure that's a liquidation notch or cut-out. It's very similar to what liquidators do with records, cassettes and PC games. It basically prevents a retailer from buying liquidation stock and then attempting to return them to the original distributor or publisher for full MSRP credit or a refund.
