cOLeCoHiTMan
Has anyone seen ColecoVision controllers fixed this way? I wondered if I had special controllers at first because they didn't match the pictures on AtariAge!
coleconut
Has anyone seen ColecoVision controllers fixed this way? Looks like quite the hack job for sure. I have seen some desperate jobs when opening some of these controllers but this one is uhh.....different.
Pixelboy
I don't get it. Can someone please post a picture of the inside of a regular, unmodified controller?
cOLeCoHiTMan
I don't get it. Can someone please post a picture of the inside of a regular, unmodified controller? Sure... when I get home from work.. The thing is weird is the little metal pins going through the plastic ring on 2 of the contact points. I don't understand why they did this. The pins sticking up are digging into the plastic on the controller knob too.. makes no sense.
Ikrananka
Could it have been a botched attempt to make the controller add more pressure to the direction contact pads? If the pads were becoming unresponsive, and the owner didn't know how to clean the pads, this may have been their shoddy attempt to improve responsiveness.
adamcon
I would think the pins would make the controller MORE sensitive when the knob was pushed in that direction. Makes one wonder though.
