SpendTooMuchOnAtari #1 Posted February 25, 2012 Does anyone have the Resident Evil Revelations misprint case? I have the corrected version and am having a blast playing the game but am interested in getting the error case for collecting purposes. Do you think the misprint games will increase in price or fizzle out after a while? Thanks for any thoughts, STMOA
+-^CrossBow^- #2 Posted February 25, 2012 I have one of the misprinted ones. Mine was a preorder from Game-stop.
MagitekAngel #3 Posted February 25, 2012 Good old Capcom; remember the Okami Wii case with the IGN watermark?
RasterScan #4 Posted February 26, 2012 I managed to grab one at Target. Every GS and Walmart in my area was sold out. I'm not sure if these will be worth anything but it's cool to have
SpendTooMuchOnAtari #5 Posted February 26, 2012 I preordered mine directly from Capcom so of course I didn't get the misprint. But, I do have one on the way from ebay now and am going to keep it sealed. I don't know if it will be worth anything either, it seems like there are quite a lot out there. I pre-ordered mine directly from Capcom because I wanted the limited edition RE 3DS case and I don't shop at GameStop. When I opened the package upon arrival, there was the misprint game in all its glory. Guess Capcom sent out copies of both the misprint and corrected spelling game artwork. I didn't think Capcom themselves would ship the misprint version, that's crazy! I also preordered from Capcom to get the RE case but I didn't really like it so I sold it on ebay for $15. I also try to stay away from GameStop, I don't like the company and usually have a problem with the employees as well. I'm banned from the closest GameStop. Mendon #11 Posted February 29, 2012 (edited) I was a little disappointed in the LE case, only in that the artwork and text seemed dark to me.... it didn't really stand out from the color of the case itself all that much. But overall, it was a nice bonus. The case fit on my 3DS very nicely, but then I discovered that with the case installed on the 3DS you could no longer just drop the 3DS on the cradle for charging. Guess I'm lazy as I use the cradle all the time and don't want to be bothered with plugging and unplugging the AC adapter from the 3DS all the time. (I'm also lazy when it comes to the little charging "pad" I bought for my iPhone as its a breeze to just set the phone on the pad and move on without having to plug in an adapter.... ) So I'm keeping my case in the plastic bag and saving it as a collectors item. SpendTooMuchOnAtari #12 Posted March 1, 2012 The sealed misprint games on ebay seems to be going for around the retail price right now. I'm not sure if that will drop or increase as time goes on.
