+Larry #26 Posted March 22, 2012 Thanks Russ. Yes that helps a lot. Thought I'd better update a little, so yesterday I got a new wireless, UBS mouse (with scroll wheel). Not having the cord is probably the best part! -Larry
guus.assmann #27 Posted May 12, 2015 Hello, On Nir's site, there's a picture of the Bit writer board. And it shows a number of IC's that have the partnumber on them. But I cannot read those numbers. Must in particular, the middle IC in the row of 3 14pin ones, right hand side, I'd like to know the partnumber of. Also the 28 pin one is of intrest. And the rest would be helpfull as well. Anyone have this info? @ Nir, do you still have the board and can you have a look at the numbers? Best regards, Guus Assmann
+Larry #28 Posted May 12, 2015 Hi Guus- I sold mine to the OP of this thread. Just had a PM from him a bit ago and he still had the board. Did you try him? (Or maybe they were sanded off as many CSS things were.) -Larry

Dropcheck #30 Posted May 16, 2015 (edited) Hi Guus, Try this link: http://www.atarimax.com/jindroush.atari.org/asp1050.html There's a link to a schematic from Nir Dary. Edited May 16, 2015 by Dropcheck
guus.assmann #31 Posted May 16, 2015 Hello Dropcheck, Thanks. But the link gives me info to part of the device. There's an addition, the bitwriter board. And that's what I'm looking for. BR/ Guus
Dropcheck #32 Posted May 16, 2015 This isn't it? http://www.atarimax.com/jindroush.atari.org/data/ahard/sch_1050sa.jpg
guus.assmann #33 Posted May 16, 2015 Hello Dropcheck, No, it's not. The link is to the super archiver. And that one has an addition, called the bitwriter. There's a picture here: http://sites.google.com/site/ataripal/superarchiver Scroll down a bit to see it. It's a board with a hole. And the 6507 is removed from the 1050 and is put in the board,it adds on to that. For one, it adds 2 different extra speeds where the archiver only has 1 extra speed. So you get a 1050 with 4 rotation speeds and a very (unique) good copy-record. BR/ Guus
Dropcheck #34 Posted May 16, 2015 You are so right. That ain't the same board. Sorry.
Dropcheck #35 Posted May 17, 2015 Hi Guus, The pic isn't clear, but here's another source of info. Steve Cardon I believe is his name. http://www.realdos.net/1050%20Super%20Archiver.html
