Everdrive 64 patched roms

Recommended Posts

I was reading over this tutorial http://gbatemp.net/topic/316539-everdrive-64-review/ about seting up the SD card for use with the Everdrive 64 multi-cart. I have purchsed one of these and it is on the way and should be here on Thursday. I noticed that the article mentions 2 games that didn't work still at the time of writing and one that needed patched.

Here is a quote from the tutorial:

"Cons

- Banjo-Kazooie and Jet Force Gemini require a software crack or they will only display black or black with vertical blue lines

- Banjo-Tooie currently only works if the onboard CIC chip is a 6105

- Lacks a clearly displayed N64 console user interface

- CPLD Logic Core can be updated if the cart has the mini USB port onboard. This sample did not so it would need to be soldered on which is a little bit of extra work and not easy for a novice.

- No built in cheat code program

- SD card slot is not spring loaded (however they are very easy to insert and remove)"

My question is does anyone have the following 3 roms that they will post here or share with me via email please?

Banjo-Kazooie

Jet Force Gemini

Banjo-Tooie

Thanks in advance,

Todd

Have you posted this on the official EVERDRIVE forums, I see questions like this often not to mention the creator and developer of the Everdrives even appears there. If your going to find anyone to help you with this I would bet it would be there:

Yeah it just happens that those 3 games had some type of Query/Response protection system. Pretty sophisticated and only recently completely emulated (mostly due to a few typos).

Yurkie that review is out of date. That is for v1, v2 has been out for quite some time now. You no longer need to update firmware via JTAG connector. Its loaded right from SD card during start up. There is a hacked version of JFG that does work out there. Also the OS he used in the review is the original OS. The newer ones is much better. I wouldn't use that review for up to date information. aleomark on the official EverDrive forums that OldSchoolRetroGamer linked has a review of v2.

The version 2 does support a 6105 CIC which allows JFG and BT to work, but it also stops some 6103 games from working. Until this issue is corrected, which I am sure it will be eventually, we put 6102 in ours because they offer best compatibility.

We are working on a central EverDrive information site (http://www.everdrive.us/) with compatibility lists, information, etc., but unless some others help me it will be awhile to get all this information up since I have more pressing matters to deal with.
